Asbestos Management Survey Liverpool

Fibre Safe are an expert in asbestos removal and management surveys in Liverpool and the surrounding areas. We take great pride in the services that we provide to our clients with a genuine dedication to improving the understanding of how asbestos affects workforces and communities, along with a better understanding of how to manage the asbestos in your buildings. We’ve worked with many organisations ranging from local authorities and city councils to contribute towards a safer approach to asbestos.

Is asbestos commonly found these days?

Asbestos has long been recognised as presenting a severe health risk to those working with and around the material, so you can be forgiven for believing that asbestos is no longer as prominent in buildings, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Asbestos can be found in over 4,000 building products which you can find in everyday items, and asbestos is present in many buildings across the country, from hospitals to warehouses. The ill effects that asbestos can have on your health are genuinely terrifying, and the only way to combat this is to ensure that the awareness surrounding its dangers and volatility are genuinely understood.

The Liverpool Playhouse Project

You can find the great Playhouse theatre on Williamson Square. Built in 1866 as a music hall, the building was adapted into the now-famous theatre in 1911 to serve a growing interest and passion for the acting arts. The theatre has been the stomping grounds of a whole host of beloved actors and actresses for many decades. The building is fondly looked upon by anyone that has had the privilege of attending a show there.

The Playhouse is a regular client of Fibre Safe’s, with regular asbestos surveys conducted to ensure that the asbestos management plan is still effective and safe for everyone that attends the theatre, and it’s one of our team’s favourite places to visit.

The Liverpool City Council and MRWA (Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority) do not provide any asbestos services, whether that be for training, removal or surveying, so they do recommend enlisting a private contractor such as Fibre Safe to ensure that buildings are compliant and safe for both the community and workforce.
